## Privacy policy

It describes what this site does today, not what it might do: every item listed here is actually collected, and nothing that is not listed is.

Last updated: 11 September 2026

### In short

- We do not sell, rent or hand your data to anyone for commercial purposes.

- The site asks for personal data only when you fill in a form: contact, CV, membership request or reporting a situation.

- This domain sets no cookies. The only ones you will see are Google's, on the two pages that embed a Google Form.

- You can ask us for access, correction or deletion of your data by writing to informes@wimargentina.com.ar.

### 1. Who we are

**WIM Argentina** (Women in Mining Argentina), the national chapter of International Women in Mining, is responsible for the personal data collected on this site, **www.wim.ar**.

For anything about this policy, write to **informes@wimargentina.com.ar**.

### 2. What we collect and why

Each item says what is taken and why. There are no others.

Contact form

First name, last name, email, phone (optional), subject and message. They are used to answer your enquiry and follow it up, and for nothing else. The submission goes to our own server.

CV

First name, last name, email, phone, date of birth, gender, nationality, province, locality, profession and the file you attach (PDF, DOC or DOCX up to 4 MB). They are used to consider you for the job opportunities WIM Argentina circulates and to contact you about them. They go to our own server; if you send your CV more than once, it is consolidated into a single record.

Membership request and reporting a situation

The *Become a member* and *Report a situation* forms are Google Forms embedded in the site. What you write there reaches WIM Argentina through Google Forms and is used only to act on your request or on what you report, following the Prevention and Action Guide. Google processes the submission under its own privacy policy.

AI chat

The text you type in the chat is sent to our server, which forwards it to a Google artificial-intelligence model to generate the answer. The chat asks for no name or email and we do not link the messages to your identity. Do not type personal data about yourself or others there.

Event attendance confirmation

The link in the confirmation email carries an identifier of your registration. When you open it, we record that you confirmed. Nothing else is taken on that page.

Technical data on submission

When you send the contact form or a CV we record your IP address and, on the contact form, your browser identifier. They limit repeated submissions and filter automated spam. They are not used to identify you and are not cross-referenced with the rest of your data.

Audience measurement

Pages visited, approximate origin, language and device type, aggregated and without cookies. They tell us which sections work and which do not. They identify no one.

Server logs

The ones the hosting generates automatically when serving a page, for security and diagnostics.

We do not ask for sensitive data — health, ethnic origin, political opinions, union membership — and we do not want it. The one place where you may tell us something delicate is the form for reporting a situation of violence, and that form exists for that. We do no profiling and make no automated decisions about you.

### 3. Cookies

**www.wim.ar sets no cookies**, neither its own nor third parties'. Audience measurement works without them.

The two pages that embed a Google Form — *Become a member* and *Report a situation* — load that form from `docs.google.com`, and Google leaves its own technical cookies there. They are Google's, not ours, and are governed by its policy.

You can block or delete them in your browser settings. The rest of the site works the same without them.

### 4. Who it is shared with

We do not sell or hand over data. The following providers process it on our behalf and under our instructions:

Vercel

Hosting, image optimisation and cookieless audience measurement.

Google

Google Forms for the membership request and for reporting a situation, and the artificial-intelligence model that answers in the chat.

Amazon Web Services

Storage of the site's images and downloadable documents (reports, bulletins, books).

Dropbox

Hosting of one of the downloadable books.

We would only hand data to a public authority if a law or a court order required it.

### 5. International transfers

The providers above run servers outside Argentina, mainly in the United States. When you use the site or write to us, your data is processed there too, under each provider's data-processing terms.

### 6. How long we keep it

Contact-form enquiries are kept while they are being handled and for up to **24 months** afterwards, in case you get back in touch or we need to show what was answered.

CVs are kept for up to **24 months** from the last submission, or until you ask for deletion, whichever comes first.

Audience data is aggregated and identifies no one. Server logs are kept for a few days.

### 7. Your rights

You can ask for **access, rectification, updating and deletion** of your personal data by writing to **informes@wimargentina.com.ar**. We answer within the deadlines the law sets.

The data subject may exercise the right of access free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless a legitimate interest is shown, under article 14, paragraph 3, of Argentine Law No. 25.326.

The **Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública**, the supervisory authority under Law No. 25.326, is empowered to handle complaints and claims from anyone whose rights are affected by a breach of the personal-data protection rules.

If you write to us from the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may also exercise the rights to object, to restriction and to portability.

### 8. Security

The site is served entirely over HTTPS. The contact and CV forms carry a check against repeated submissions and bots. Access to what we receive is restricted to the people who handle it.

### 9. Links to other sites

The downloadable documents, the International Women in Mining site and the Google Forms are outside this site and are governed by whoever hosts them. This policy covers only www.wim.ar.

### 10. Changes

If this policy changes, we update the date in the header. Substantive changes are announced on the site.

### Any questions?

Write to us and we will answer.
